BTP Chairman Hüseyin Baş reacts to minimum wage: 'They won't give me anything anyway'

Independent Turkey Party (BTP) Chairman Hüseyin Baş said, "What is the agenda in this country every year from mid-November to the new year? The minimum wage. This should be the entire agenda. There is a government, and we have lost so much hope that currently, no one in Turkey is talking about the minimum wage. Why isn't anyone talking about it? They won't give it. What will happen if I talk about it? They won't give me anything anyway," he said.

Stating that what is happening in Turkey is not independent of what is happening in the Middle East, Hüseyin Baş noted that everything he said a year ago has come true one by one today.

"I SAID 'GOOD MORNING, DEAR'"

Baş said, "We said, 'You say the PKK will lay down its arms, but will the YPG?' A year has passed, and there is not a peep from the YPG. Similarly, look, there have been changes in Syria; you say, 'We conquered Syria. We conquered Aleppo,' but we said, 'At the end of this, Israel will permanently settle in the Golan Heights and threaten the entire Middle East.' This also happened. When it was not on anyone's agenda, I came out and said, 'Look, all these events concern the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus very closely. We need to pay attention to the Eastern Mediterranean.' What has happened in the last year is obvious. I saw a chyron on a pro-government channel the other day asking, 'Is Israel's real target Cyprus?' I said, 'Good morning, dear'," he stated.

"WHY IS THE MINIMUM WAGE NOT BEING DISCUSSED?"

Touching on the economy in his speech, Hüseyin Baş evaluated the minimum wage debates. Baş said, "What is the agenda in this country every year from mid-November to the new year? The minimum wage. This should be the entire agenda. There is a government, and we have lost so much hope that currently, no one in Turkey is talking about the minimum wage. Why isn't anyone talking about it? They won't give it! What will happen if I talk about it? They won't give me anything anyway," he said.

"NATIONAL ECONOMY MODEL CONGRESS TO BE HELD"

Stating that they will hold an international congress in Vienna in February, Baş said the following:

"We will hold a National Economy Model Congress at the Vienna University of Technology, one of the most established universities in the world, in Vienna, Austria. Approximately 50 professors and academics whose participation has been confirmed will attend from all over the world. What will academics from the USA, China, Russia, Egypt, and the Arab world say when they come here? They say, 'Let us explain to the whole world that the solution is the National Economy Model.' We will explain there that the National Economy Model is the solution to the hunger problems, famine problems, unemployment problems, legal issues, and state philosophy problems of both Turkey and the whole world. A butterfly flaps its wings, and the whole world moves to a completely different level, a completely different version. In that new conjuncture, in that new version that the world will transition to, the inevitable power is the power of the National Economy Model. It is the power of the Independent Turkey Party."
