Buket Özgünlü Boyacı released from prison
Buket Özgünlü Boyacı, President of the Yaşama Tutunan Patiler Association, who was arrested after transporting 35 dogs alleged to have rabies from a shelter in Şanlıurfa to Ankara, has been released.

An indictment was prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Buket Özgünlü, President of the Yaşama Tutunan Patiler Association, and Muhammed Savaş D., who were arrested for bringing 35 dogs alleged to be diseased from Şanlıurfa to Ankara.
In the indictment, a prison sentence of approximately 7 years was requested for the two suspects on charges of “Torturing a Pet or Domestic Animal, and Violating Measures Regarding Infectious Diseases.”
Finally, Buket Özgünlü Boyacı has been released.
