Bülent Arınç opens old books: 'They cut my beard, I tore off their arm'
Bülent Arınç, one of the founders of the AKP, took aim at former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek. Wishing Gökçek "mental and spiritual health," Arınç said, "They cut my beard, I tore off their arm. A cut beard grows back, but an arm does not. I travel all over Turkey and I am among the people."

Former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek recently brought up a striking claim in a program he attended regarding Bülent Arınç, one of the founders of the AKP and a former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), stating, "You remember the Gezi protests; at that time, Bülent Arınç was becoming prime minister. They were going to make him prime minister despite Erdoğan."
Arınç's response to these words from Gökçek was not delayed.
"MAY GOD GRANT MENTAL HEALTH"
Speaking to Hasan Basri Akdemir, Arınç used very harsh expressions without mentioning Gökçek's name.
"May God grant mental and spiritual health to the person you mentioned. I don't even want to mention his name," said Arınç, adding, "He also spouted delusions that came to his mouth on another TV channel recently. I have closed that book."

'THEY CUT MY BEARD, I TORE OFF THEIR ARM'
Arınç continued his words as follows:
“They cut my beard, I tore off their arm. A cut beard grows back, but an arm does not. I travel all over Turkey and I am among the people.
The people come running. They say, 'May God be pleased with you.' I wish others would also go out on the street and see. What will the people say? Thank God, I am happy with my situation.”
