Bungalow vacation in Sapanca turns into tragedy: 4-year-old child loses life in pool
A 4-year-old child vacationing with their family in the Sapanca district of Sakarya has died after falling into the pool of the bungalow where they were staying. It was revealed that the facility was operating without a license and without reporting guest identities.

The incident, which occurred in the Muradiye neighborhood of Sakarya's Sapanca district, turned a family's vacation into a nightmare. 4-year-old A.A., who was staying with their family at a bungalow facility named G.H., fell into the pool of the bungalow where they were staying.
Little A.A. fell into the pool at a moment when their family did not notice. The child, who was discovered approximately 10 minutes later, was taken to Sapanca State Hospital following intervention by medical teams called to the scene after being pulled from the water. However, despite all interventions, the young child could not be saved.
FACILITY HAS NO LICENSE, GUEST IDENTITIES WERE NOT REPORTED
Investigations conducted after the incident revealed that the facility's temporary license had been canceled as of December 31, 2024, and that it was currently operating without any legal permits. Furthermore, it was determined that the check-in information of customers had not been entered into the Identity Notification System (KBS) in a timely manner.
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION INITIATED
Administrative action has been initiated against the business on the grounds that it was operating without a license and failed to report guest identities. A judicial investigation into the death of A.A. is ongoing.
