"I condemn the attack involving stones and explosive materials carried out by a group sympathetic to the EOKA terrorist organization against civilians in the Yiğitler Burcu region of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
This provocative act targeting civilians disregards not only the peace in the region but also international law and human values.
It is essential for the peace of the Island that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice as soon as possible and that concrete steps are taken to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents. We will closely follow the process in all its dimensions.
As Turkey, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our support for the security, peace, and protection of the rights of the TRNC is absolute."
