A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality regarding charges of "establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "bribery," "laundering assets derived from crime," and "causing zoning pollution."
Following the conclusion of the three-day detention period, the statements of a total of 57 suspects, including Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, his wife, daughter, and brother, were completed at the prosecutor's office.
After approximately 14 hours of questioning, Mustafa Bozbey was referred to the court with a request for his arrest. Judicial control was requested for 12 suspects, including Bozbey's wife Seden Bozbey, his daughter Side Bozbey Gürer, and his brother Ertan Bozbey.
Of the 57 people referred to the courthouse, including Mustafa Bozbey, 30 were arrested.
27 people were released to be tried without arrest. Among those released are Bozbey's wife and daughter.
