A fire broke out at 09:00 at a 2-story perfume filling facility in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Kocaeli's Dilovası district. The fire, which started for an unknown reason, grew rapidly.
The flames also spread to the roof of the building located next to the workplace. Citizens notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams that arrived at the scene in a short time extinguished the fire. While 6 people lost their lives in the fire, 7 people were injured.
