As protest actions that began with the detention of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continue to escalate following his arrest, the Cabinet will meet today at the Palace after a 2-week break.
According to NTV, it has been learned that the legal and security aspects of the terrorism and corruption investigations launched into the IMM will be discussed at the meeting, which will be chaired by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
On the other hand, foreign policy will also be discussed at the meeting.
The crisis that has deepened with Israel breaking the ceasefire and resuming attacks on Gaza will also be on the table.
A NEW RESOLUTION PROCESS IS ALSO ON THE TABLE
The Cabinet's agenda will also include the new resolution process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect and which the government calls a 'Terror-Free Turkey'.
Following the call for laying down arms and dissolution from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, the terrorist organization's disarmament process, the announcement of a congress where it will dissolve itself, and possible legal regulations will be addressed at the Cabinet meeting.
