After a break of approximately two weeks, the cabinet, chaired by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is preparing to meet at the Palace. The meeting will take place on Monday, June 15.
The first item expected to be evaluated at the meeting is the hot developments in the Middle East. Ceasefire negotiations between Iran and the US and Israel's attacks on Gaza will be discussed in detail. In addition, the policies followed by Turkey regarding the ongoing conflict process between Russia and Ukraine will be addressed.
The NATO Summit, which is seen as one of the most important international events of June and will be held in Ankara on July 7-8, is also among the main agenda items. The preparation process for the summit will be reviewed, and the measures taken for the security of the organization and additional steps to be taken will be discussed. US President Donald Trump will also attend the summit to be held this year.
The meeting will also evaluate the current situation in the second opening process, which the government calls "Terror-Free Turkey." It was reported that cabinet members will exchange views on the new legal changes envisaged and the stage reached in the ongoing process.
