Call for peace from İmamoğlu: Istanbul is the most suitable city

A post was shared on the X account of the Presidential Candidate Office opened on behalf of CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently at the Marmara Silivri Prison. The post included the following message from Ekrem İmamoğlu:
"I welcome the efforts to end the war that has been ongoing in Ukraine for 3.5 years. A fair and lasting peace to be achieved in the Black Sea is of vital importance in many areas, from Europe's security architecture to energy supply. For peace to be lasting, it is only possible by guaranteeing the security and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Following the silencing of weapons as soon as possible, all relevant parties must sit at the negotiating table. Turkey, which possesses one of the strongest armies in NATO, the longest coastline on the Black Sea, and sovereignty over the Straits, must also take its place at the table without delay. I believe that Istanbul, which has hosted many Russian-Ukrainian talks so far, is the most suitable city for the negotiation of an agreement that will cement peace."
