Call from CHP following Silivri Municipality operation

Following the operation carried out at the municipality in Istanbul's Silivri district in the morning, the Republican People's Party (CHP) has invited its members and all citizens to a rally to be held in front of the municipal building at 19.00 this evening.

The call, which reached a large number of party members, aims to protect democratic rights and draw attention to the process. Participants are expected to gather in front of the Silivri Mayor's Office.

The operation conducted this morning was initiated in line with an investigation into allegations of irregularities in certain business transactions and documents at Silivri Municipality. As a result of the raid, Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu, Deputy Mayor Fatih Yavuz, and a total of 17 people were taken into custody.
