Call from CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik: 'Let's meet in Maltepe to defend our Mayor Ekrem'

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik has issued a call for solidarity with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, whose undergraduate diploma has been revoked. Calling for attendance at an opening ceremony İmamoğlu will attend in Maltepe tomorrow, Çelik said, "Let's meet in Maltepe to defend our Mayor Ekrem." 

Çelik invited citizens to Maltepe Cumhuriyet Square at 14:00 to defend Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Making a statement via his social media account, Özgür Çelik used the following expressions: 

"Let's meet in Maltepe to uphold democracy and defend our Mayor Ekrem! We are meeting with our TBB and IMM Mayor, our presidential primary candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, at the mass opening ceremony at Maltepe Cumhuriyet Square tomorrow at 14:00. Either all together, or none of us!"
