Warning governors and mayors, Görür emphasized that earthquakes should be accepted as a warning and that cities must be made earthquake-resistant.
In his post, Görür stated, "Our request from our local administrators on behalf of the public is: When an earthquake occurs in or around your city, rather than responses like 'There are no casualties,' 'No unfortunate incidents have been reported in our city,' or 'Our investigations are ongoing,' accept the earthquake that has occurred as a warning, and work to make your city earthquake-resistant, thinking that something worse could happen."
