Call to Murat Kurum from Ekrem İmamoğlu, who visited Ali Koç!

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu visited Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç. Responding to journalists' questions after the meeting, İmamoğlu said, "Do you have an invitation for Mr. Kurum?" to which he replied, "I would certainly say 'yes' to such an environment. I would welcome it without hesitation."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu visited Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç at the Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium.

Stating that he held a meeting with Ali Koç regarding Istanbul's sporting facilities and organizations, İmamoğlu shared a photo taken with Ali Koç on his social media account.

İmamoğlu included the following statements in his post:

"We visited Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç and the club management. We have established strong communication with our sports clubs during this term, and we will further strengthen this cooperation for our city's sporting facilities and organizations."

 

Appearing before the cameras after the meeting, İmamoğlu and Koç answered questions from journalists.

When asked by a reporter, "Yesterday, in a television program, your opponent was asked whether he would want to face you in a TV program. How do you view such a program to discuss projects mutually? Do you have an invitation for Mr. Kurum?" IMM Mayor İmamoğlu gave the following response:

"I WOULD CERTAINLY SAY 'YES'"

"When it comes to an invitation or a formal request for Mr. Kurum, he might sometimes give very complicated answers, but let me be clear. We have always been happy to be together, to talk, to share Istanbul, and to comment on Istanbul mutually. We have valued this. Of course, in a civilized country, in a civilized city, in Istanbul, the cradle of civilization, if there is a process and a race for Istanbul, I would certainly say 'yes' to such an environment. I would welcome it without hesitation. Of course, the setting and conditions would be discussed by technical personnel accordingly. For me, there is no side to debate."

YELLOW-NAVY BLUE TIE DID NOT GO UNNOTICED

Some Fenerbahçe fans had reacted to Ekrem İmamoğlu wearing a burgundy-blue tie during his previous visit to Fenerbahçe High Council President Uğur Dündar.

It did not go unnoticed that İmamoğlu wore a yellow-navy blue tie during his visit to Ali Koç.
