According to Halk TV, following a tip-off received on September 16, the gendarmerie conducted a raid in the early hours of the morning on the Büyükçekmece villa of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) President Mustafa Gültepe.

According to allegations, the teams entered the house by breaking down the doors. Gültepe’s wife and family were in the house at the time. It was stated that Gültepe was abroad during the raid. Following the operation, the Ministry of Interior also intervened and appointed inspectors to examine the process.

WHO IS MUSTAFA GÜLTEPE?

Born in 1968 in the Tonya district of Trabzon, Mustafa Gültepe continues to serve as the President of the Istanbul Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB) in addition to his role as TİM President.

Graduating from the Industrial Engineering department of Dokuz Eylül University in 1990, Gültepe completed his MBA at Istanbul University in 1997. Starting his career at Taha Tekstil in 1992, Gültepe has been active in the apparel sector for over 30 years.

Providing employment for approximately 3 thousand 400 people in his production facilities in Istanbul, Sakarya, and Malatya, Gültepe is married and a father of three.
