Former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu has made her first statement following her return to medicine.

Canan Kaftancıoğlu handed over her duties to Özgür Çelik, who won the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023. After stepping away from politics, Kaftancıoğlu began spending most of her time at the medical center where she is a founding partner.

Kaftancıoğlu, who has taken on an administrative role at the Private Işık Medical Center in the Yüzyıl neighborhood of the Bağcılar district in Istanbul, included the following remarks in a statement on her social media account regarding her return to the profession:

I haven't quit; I am just banned for now:)
