Caught by his lover's ex-husband: He jumped from the building and landed on a child

In Bahçelievler, in an incident that occurred on March 8, Vahdet T. had gone to his lover's home. When his lover Esra S.'s ex-husband arrived at the house, Vahdet T. attempted to jump from the 4th floor using a clothesline, but the line snapped. Vahdet T. fell onto a child named Hafsa Mina, causing her to suffer life-threatening injuries.

Providing information about the incident, Demet Bayraktar stated that she was walking on the sidewalk with her own son and the daughter of her friend who was injured when the person named Vahdet T. suddenly fell onto them. The eyewitness, who noted that the child named Hafsa Mina was injured, reported that a citizen took the child to the hospital.

Turgay E., who gave a statement regarding the incident, said that Esra S. is his ex-wife and stated, "We live together because my apartment is in an urban transformation zone. On March 8, I came home and knocked on the door. I waited at the door for 30-40 minutes. Upon hearing screams from below, I went down quickly. There was a child lying on the ground. A woman was screaming, but I could not see the male individual clearly. Then I knocked on the door again. Esra opened the door. I looked into the rooms and asked, 'Who is here?' I couldn't find anyone."

"We went out to the balcony. I asked Esra, 'Is that the person who fell?' She said, 'No.' When I insistently asked if there was someone in her life, she said, 'Yes, there is, you are no longer my husband, I won't say anything else.' I then went to the police officers and said that there is such a situation and I am suspicious," he testified.

"THE CLOTHESLINE SNAPPED AND I FELL TO THE GROUND"

Esra S., stating that Vahdet T. is her lover, provided information saying, "On the day of the incident, Vahdet came to me. In the following minutes, my ex-husband knocked on the door. We got scared and Vahdet tried to hide. I opened the door. At that moment, we heard a scream and my ex-husband and I ran to the balcony. While looking from the balcony, I saw Vahdet lying on the ground."

Vahdet T. stated that when Esra S.'s ex-husband knocked on the door, she asked him to hide, adding, "There was no place to hide. To avoid a confrontation with the individual, I tried to climb down from the 4th floor using a clothesline, but after descending one floor, the clothesline snapped and I fell to the ground. I don't remember what happened after that. Later, I learned that I had fallen on a child. I did not do this intentionally," he said.

FRACTURED SPINE AND CRACKED SKULL

On the other hand, the injured child's father, Hamza Koca, said that his daughter is still in intensive care and her life remains in danger, stating, "I am filing a complaint against the individual named Vahdet T., who endangered my daughter's life by falling on her."

Stating that he wants justice for his 5-year-old daughter, father Hamza Koca said, "The incident happened on March 8 around 10:45 AM while my child was walking down the street with her mother. The person on the fourth floor of the building was living with the woman in the apartment where her ex-husband, who had come to the house, lived. When the ex-husband came to the house, he forced the door. But the woman did not open it because she had locked the door. Because she didn't open it, the man inside was planning where to hide. During this process, he went out to the balcony. Since the husband who came to the house couldn't get the door opened for half an hour, the man on the balcony was planning how he could get down. At that moment, he tied himself to a rope and jumped from the 4th floor."

"At that moment, he fell onto my daughter while she was walking down this street with her mother. My daughter has been in intensive care for 10 days. Her condition is still critical. She cannot feel psychologically ready. She has six broken ribs. She has a fracture in her spine. She also has cracks in her skull. They released the individual to be tried without arrest. I want justice. I want him to be arrested. I don't want others to get hurt either. I am amazed at what the man was thinking to come here and cause such an incident," he said.
