The Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium, hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and held since 1978, took place this year from August 22-24.

Central bank governors from around the world, economists, financial market participants, academics, and government representatives met at the symposium held in the town of Jackson Hole in the U.S. state of Wyoming to discuss long-term policy issues.

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Governor Fatih Karahan also attended the symposium.

Economist Şebnem Kalemli Özcan, daughter of former Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Mustafa Kalemli, also shared photos from the symposium on her social media account, thanking the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

In one photo, CBRT Governor Fatih Karahan was seen wearing a cowboy hat and a bandana.

Economist Şebnem Kalemli Özcan later deleted the post and re-shared it with a different photo that did not include Karahan.
