Following the development, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli responded to a question about "Selahattin Demirtaş," stating, "His release will lead to good outcomes."

Journalist Cem Küçük, known for his proximity to the government, shared his thoughts on the decision during a live broadcast and made striking assessments:

"The ECHR said to release him last year, and they said it in 2021 as well. Why didn't you comply then? If you had complied then, I would have said, 'Turkey complies with ECHR rulings.'

I do not find it right for Demirtaş to be released just because there is a process. That would be unfair. In Turkey, law and politics move in tandem with the circumstances.

The government side, especially the media, needs to have a conscience. You call the man a terrorist, and then it is not right to change your opinion just because politics demands it today.

You bring an amnesty for everyone, not just for one individual. 'Demirtaş is an important figure for Kurdish politics, so let's release him.' If you are releasing him, then there are others who are DEM Party members and are imprisoned for PKK propaganda; release them too. There are many people inside who are detained for the October 6-7 events.

I find it wrong for Demirtaş to be released solely to make progress in the resolution process."
