Cemal Enginyurt confirms the claim that has stirred Ankara: 'With at least 30 deputies'

Twenty deputies are required to form a group in Parliament. After it was noted that the two parties have a total of eighteen deputies, it was alleged that former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had stepped in.

It was even said that this was the main topic of the recent meeting between Kılıçdaroğlu and Babacan.

Democrat Party Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt made important statements regarding the matter.

Enginyurt announced that the group to be formed would not be limited to 20 deputies.

Stating that the group is planned to be formed under the leadership of the Democrat Party, Enginyurt explained his reasoning with these words: "There are deputies who cannot speak or get the floor because they do not have a group in Parliament. The opposition in Turkey is not effective. We want to close this gap."

According to the report by Odatv, Cemal Enginyurt stated that they plan to form a parliamentary group of approximately 30-40 people with deputies joining from the DEVA Party, the Democrat Party, the CHP, independents, and other parties.

Enginyurt underlined that this number from the CHP is one or two deputies, but did not provide names.

Cemal Enginyurt summarized why the group to be formed would not be limited to 20 deputies with these words: "If it is to be done, let it be a strong group, a strong opposition. We are thinking of forming a group of at least 30 deputies.

Furthermore, if this number were limited to 20, if a deputy were to lose their life, God forbid, the group would risk falling apart.

We have witnessed this in the past. That is why we thought of such a method to be more effective."
