Censorship from TRT against İmamoğlu, Yavaş, and Tugay! Not even 1 minute of coverage...

TRT, the state broadcaster funded by citizens' taxes, did not provide even a single minute of coverage to CHP candidates Mansur Yavaş, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Cemil Tugay during the local election process. An analysis of TRT Haber's 24-hour broadcasts revealed that Murat Kurum received 12 news segments, while Turgut Altınok and Hamza Dağ each received 8.

Having lost its impartiality, TRT continues to censor opposition party candidates during the local election process.

Tuncay Keser, a member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) elected from the CHP quota, examined the airtime TRT Haber allocated to mayoral candidates in the three major metropolitan cities. Keser criticized TRT Haber, which is expected to be impartial, for giving more coverage to the People's Alliance candidates in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, citing examples from the channel's broadcasts on February 12-13, Keser stated, "In a 24-hour broadcast analysis, no news was aired regarding CHP's Ankara candidate Mansur Yavaş, Istanbul candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Izmir candidate Cemil Tugay. The People's Alliance's Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum found space in 12 news segments, while Ankara candidate Turgut Altınok and Izmir candidate Hamza Dağ each appeared in 8 news segments on TRT Haber. While AKP candidates were given a total of 73 minutes of coverage over two days, CHP candidates were not given even a single minute."
