Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli summoned to testify

As part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities, Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli has been summoned to testify as a 'suspect'.

Operations continue against well-known public figures regarding whom the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes has initiated investigations for the crime of using drugs or stimulants. Within the framework of the investigation targeting celebrities, İzmir's Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli was summoned to testify.

In a statement regarding the matter, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated, "A summons has been issued for the suspect Lal Denizli to provide testimony as part of the investigation being conducted by our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Bureau of Investigation for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes."

Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli has been requested to report to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to provide testimony within 1 week.
