CGTN Türk Editor-in-Chief Ulaş Can interprets the US order: ‘It could lead to an all-out war’

‘IT IS MAKING MEXICO A NEW TARGET’
Regarding the US influence on events in Mexico, CGTN Türk Editor-in-Chief Ulaş Can stated, “In its recently published National Security Strategy Document, the US announced that it would increase pressure on the American continent and that it would do so through indirect and direct interventions.
The US kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela was its first direct operation. As for Cuba, which it has blockaded for more than 60 years, it has turned the embargo into genocide by imposing full isolation with the January 29 Decree. Although it claims to be fighting drugs today, the entire drug traffic across the American continent is possible only through the direct and indirect interventions of the CIA.
According to reports from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), 90 percent of all drugs entering the US pass through the Mexican land border. It is not a funny joke that the US, which has the technological infrastructure to see the number of pigeons taking off from the Blue Mosque, cannot detect the average of 300 tons of narcotics entering its country from the Mexican border annually.
Furthermore, it is a publicly known fact that the weapons and ammunition used by cartels in Mexico against security forces come from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant near Kansas City. In light of all this, Mexico taking a political stance against the unilateral sanctions of the US, especially its Cuba policy, makes Mexico a new target.”
‘THE US NO LONGER WANTS TO BE THE SOLE OWNER OF MILITARY OPERATIONS’
Regarding the true objective while the Middle East agenda is so escalated with US-Iran tension, Can said, “The US cannot sustain an all-out war in Iran. It also seems difficult to find a proxy force from the Arab geography. It can always carry out a limited attack. However, what they really want is the complete collapse of the economy through embargoes and isolation. And then, the overthrow of the current administration through a popular movement.
Although the fault lines within Iran do not seem to be in this tension yet, economic problems could trigger social movements that we cannot foresee right now. The point we must underline here is the demand for ‘burden sharing’ in the US’s recently published National Security Strategy Document. The US no longer wants to be the sole owner of military operations everywhere. While the prosperity obtained from exploited or occupied places is shared between US and European capital through multinational corporations, the ‘drudgery’ part of the job is left to the US.
And it desires for this situation to change. Iran is not a target suitable for this result. However, the fact that a very large portion of Iran’s oil is purchased by China, and that this oil accounts for a quarter of China’s needs, is the situation that makes Iran the primary target. Because we can read in the aforementioned document that the main target of the US is China.”
‘AN ALL-OUT WORLD WAR…’
Regarding the question of whether a world war is imminent, as voiced in various media outlets, Can said, “It is not very plausible to talk about an all-out world war in the time period we are in. However, imperialist powers have concluded that the system they established after the Second World War no longer benefits them, but rather the Global South countries, that is, the countries that have become the center of production.
This situation can be considered the cause of a new world war, just as it was in the first and second. A micro-level world war actually began about 4 years ago. The reason the war has not grown is the careful operation conducted by Russia and the fact that Russia is still a deterrent nuclear power. It is also necessary to underline China’s mediating stance and the diplomacy it conducts.
In particular, the initiatives led by Xi Jinping, especially the Global Governance Initiative, are the antidote to the toxic conflicts spread by US aggression and imperialism.
It is important how the new colonial understanding, which the Global Financial Oligarchy wants to re-establish today and which Marco Rubio openly stated at the Munich conference, will be received by the US and European peoples.
If Rubio’s theses combine with the rising right-wing wave in these societies, the world faces the danger of entering a new era of fascism. This could lead to an all-out war that would lead the world to disaster, just as it did in the second.”
