Metro Istanbul has announced that, in accordance with the decision of the Istanbul Governor's Office, some metro stations will be temporarily closed as of 14:00 on Saturday, March 8.
The official statement included the following:
"In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, as of 14:00 on Saturday, March 8, the Taksim station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the İstiklal Street entrance of the Şişhane station, and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operations until further notice. Our vehicles will continue their journeys without stopping at the Taksim station."
