The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has filed an appeal regarding the release of 4 defendants by the Bakırköy 22nd High Criminal Court yesterday in the Newborn Gang case.

The interim decision was announced on the 4th day of the 3rd hearing of the trial involving the leaders and members of the Newborn gang, who generated illicit profits by referring babies to contracted hospitals in Istanbul and caused infant deaths due to negligence.
The court decided to release 4 detained defendants under judicial control conditions.
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has filed an appeal against the release decision granted for the 4 defendants.
