Chilling incident in Tokat: Male body found in Yeşilırmak River
An unidentified male body was found floating in the Yeşilırmak River in the Turhal district of Tokat this morning. Upon receiving reports from citizens who witnessed the scene, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. The teams recovered the body from the water, and authorities are investigating the possibility that the body may have been carried to the location by the current. According to reports, citizens who spotted the body on the surface of the water under the Kesikbaş Bridge in the Yeşilırmak River in the Turhal district notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Health, police, and Turhal Municipality fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Fire department teams entered the river, secured the body with ropes, and brought it to the shore. While efforts to identify the individual are underway, authorities are focusing on the possibility that the body was carried to the area by the river's current.
