In the Manavgat district of Antalya, an operation was conducted at the Manavgat Municipality as part of an investigation into 'bribery, obtaining unfair advantage, and corruption' carried out by the Manavgat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Teams from the Antalya Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch (KOM) arrived at the municipal building in the morning and began search operations.

As part of the operation, 34 people, including CHP Manavgat Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara, were detained. Kara, who was brought from Manavgat to Antalya in the evening, was taken to the Antalya Provincial Police Department for questioning after undergoing a health check at the Uncalı District Polyclinic. Following Kara's arrival at the police station, some party members gathered in front of the Provincial Police Department building, joined by CHP Antalya deputies Sururi Çorabatır, Aykut Kaya, Mustafa Erdem, and Aliye Çoşar, as well as CHP Antalya Provincial Chair Nail Kamacı and lawyers.

Following meetings between the lawyers, police officials, and Manavgat Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara, CHP Provincial Chair Nail Kamacı and the deputies made a statement. Stating that they are following the process initiated against the Manavgat Municipality, which continues with the detention of some officials, with care and seriousness, Kamacı said, "We will neither cover up a crime nor remain silent in the face of slander.

Our party never compromises on its understanding of populist and clean municipal governance. We are also committed to ensuring that anyone involved in a crime is punished in the harshest manner within the framework of the law. On the other hand, we will never allow our party and our municipalities to be discredited through political operations that are not based on any evidence. Internal party investigations initiated by our Headquarters are ongoing. Our fundamental expectation is that the process proceeds in a fair and transparent manner, in compliance with both the principles of the rule of law and our party's internal audit mechanisms," he said.
