Republican People's Party (CHP) Eskişehir Deputy İbrahim Arslan, in a post regarding the reactions following his party's announcement that it would not send a representative to İmralı, stated, "Those who created this rotten, decrepit order and those who feed off it have no right to say a single word to the CHP. The CHP has no agenda to hide behind closed doors, nothing to conceal from the nation, and no fears."

The full text of Arslan's post is as follows:

"BRING THE BALLOT BOX, LET THE NATION HAVE THE FINAL SAY!

Those who yesterday accused us of 'collaborating with terrorists' and slandered us with claims that 'there is a seventh partner under the table of six'; those who clung to the seat of power by creating perceptions with edited videos and manipulating the preferences of voters...

Today, they are trying to hold us accountable by asking, 'Why aren't you going to İmralı?

Why aren't you establishing a relationship with the PKK, which they have made a leg of the newly established table?'

Give me a break!

Today, while millions of our citizens are struggling to survive under harsh economic conditions; while fundamental rights and freedoms are being trampled upon with anti-democratic practices, pressures, detentions, and arrests;

While political siege attempts against the CHP, overt operations against our presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, long-term detention trials against our mayors, the appointment of trustees, lawsuits filed against our party, and efforts to silence the media continue to increase...

Those who created this rotten, decrepit order and those who feed off it have no right to say a single word to the CHP.

The CHP is the founding party of this country.

It is the guarantor of a democratic, secular state of law; of peace, brotherhood, equality, justice, and freedoms.

We derive our power and legitimacy from the national will and the sovereignty of the nation.

The solution to this country's economic, social, and political problems lies in;

more democracy, more justice, more law, and a stronger constitutional-parliamentary system.

The CHP has no agenda to hide behind closed doors, nothing to conceal from the nation, and no fears.

Since you say 'national will,' since you say 'sovereignty of the nation'...

Then bring the ballot box; let the Nation have the final say..."
