Başarır answered questions during a live broadcast on Halktv and commented on AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan's 'the biggest radishes are in the bag' remark.

Here are the statements made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır:

Is there any evidence of bribery regarding our Mayor Akpolat in the file? If there is, I will resign... Let the prosecutor come out and explain it!

We are able to obtain the transcripts of the testimonies in the case, and from these transcripts, we understand that there is not a single question regarding bribery; they are misleading the public. If there were a concrete incident, I would understand, but there is absolutely none!

It is the municipality where we receive the most votes and have the most voters... They are using that as a starting point to send a message to our citizens.

BAŞARIR'S RESPONSE TO THE 'THE BIGGEST RADISHES ARE IN THE BAG' REMARK

The statements made by the President of this country are truly remarkable. If you have such information and are hiding it, you are concealing a crime and a criminal, which means you are committing a crime. But if you say you are going to stage a conspiracy, then you are a slanderer! Whatever you have in your bag, bring it out; if you have the courage, bring it out!

What is it, brother? Say it! You are the President of this country; if you know anything about my party or my friends, tell us... But no, just like now, you will sit and make plans, but the public does not believe you and sees these truths.

They are making bribery allegations, right? There is not a single piece of evidence!

Where are those who defrauded the Yunus Emre Foundation of approximately 400 million liras, Mr. President, I am asking you?

Didn't your minister buy disinfectant from his own company? Where is the penalty for this?

How can you talk about cleanliness and bribery operations in this country? I am talking to you about matters that have clearly come to light.

SHOESBOXES

You don't have radishes in your bag; you have shoeboxes. Explain that first! I am calling out from here: I challenge you, bring out whatever you have tomorrow and explain it. Don't wait 1-2 years; we are standing tall.

We will fill a bag with the lawlessness and pressures they have committed and explain it to the citizens. From now on, we will be everywhere; we will not wait for the election...

No matter what he does, we will win. We will save this country from those who act unlawfully. The election campaign has started; we will fight everywhere in Turkey...

That bag is dirty; you have a minister who sells detergent, you have friends who robbed the Yunus Emre Foundation...

Those who concretely commit these acts are not being tried, but my Beşiktaş Mayor is being tried.

Those who are in the same situation as the minister's brother, those who gave the same answers in the case, were arrested.

Why wasn't this deputy minister's brother arrested? There are many allegations of corruption and injustice here.

Why wasn't that person arrested?

Have a little patience; the ballot box will come in 2025. It will not be the radishes coming out of dark bags, but the votes coming out of the ballot boxes that will determine our future.

I promise the people of Beşiktaş: those who made us and this country experience this will pay the price in the harshest way when the day comes.
