CHP's Çelik reacts to double standards by the YSK
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik provided information on the latest status of post-election ballot box objections in a post on his social media account. Stating that votes in Beykoz will be recounted, Çelik warned of a 'double standard'.

The Beykoz District Election Board evaluated requests for a recount of all votes cast in the district, as well as invalid votes, in the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.
Following the evaluation, the board rejected the AKP's objections to the election results. However, AKP figures took their objections to the Provincial Election Board, and the decision was overturned, resulting in a decision for a recount in Beykoz.
Reacting to the fact that the CHP's objections were not accepted with the same speed and clarity, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik described the situation as a double standard and expressed his reaction with the following words:
"The Provincial Election Board overturned the objection of the rival political party, which the district election board had rejected in Beykoz, and decided on a recount.
We expect our objections that were rejected by district election boards in Arnavutköy, Ümraniye, Fatih, Bahçelievler, and Pendik to be overturned by the provincial election board and for a recount decision to be made.
Otherwise, this decision is a double standard, a result of political pressure, and this is unacceptable!"
