Republican People's Party (CHP) Chair Özgür Özel announced the major rally to be held at Balıkesir Kuvayı Milliye Square on Sunday, May 17, with a new video shared on his social media account.

In his post regarding the rally, which will be held under the theme "The Nation Protects Its Will," Özel addressed AKP Chair and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and delivered clear messages regarding the CHP's political stance.

Özel included the following statements in the note accompanying his post:

"On one side are the palace's apparatuses, on the other is the nation's honorable struggle. We are the Republican People's Party. We are the party of those who do not surrender to oppression, who do not bow before the palace, and who protect their will. We will win."

"I AM ADDRESSING ERDOĞAN FROM HERE"

In the shared video, while footage of enthusiastic crowds from previous rallies was shown, banners carried by citizens reading "We Have Our Youth Against the Palace," "Politics Cannot Be Designed with the Stick of the Judiciary, Free My Candidate," and "Free İmamoğlu" drew attention.

Addressing Erdoğan directly while accompanied by the footage, Özgür Özel spoke to the crowd with these words:

"I am addressing Erdoğan from here. On one side is your apparatus, on the other is the nation's struggle... Will you continue to support the struggle of the Republican People's Party? May the path of us all be clear."

The "The Nation Protects Its Will" rally will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 16.00 at Balıkesir Kuvayı Milliye Square.
