CHP Chairman Özgür Özel receives the highest vote in party history: Sends a message to Kılıçdaroğlu
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who was re-elected as Chairman by receiving all the votes at the 39th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, expressed his gratitude to the party members after the election. Stating, "You have shown all of Turkey that the Republican People's Party is ready for power!" Özel expressed that his party, by giving the highest vote ever given to a chairman in party history, has "sent a tremendous message" to Turkey. Saying that the CHP is ready for power, Özel said, "Turkey will wake up to a different morning tomorrow. I love you all very much."

On the second day of the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress, held under the slogan 'Now is the time for power', where the election for the chairman took place, Özel said in his first speech in the morning, "This congress is our party's last congress in opposition. The 40th congress will be our first congress in power."
MADE A REFERENCE TO KILIÇDAROĞLU
In his speech, Özel also made a reference to former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who has drawn reactions from the party base with his latest video and his interview with Sabah today, saying, "This party will be cleansed of those who want to disconnect us from the streets and the squares. If the CHP is to be cleansed, it will be cleansed of those who want to take us back to the past. No one will be able to get us used to defeat anymore!"
Regarding his new message on the solution process, Özel said, "It was not right to narrow the entire issue down to the point of not going to İmralı by saying 'it is a must'. Politics is not done through impositions, but by obtaining the consent of the nation; that is why the decision our party has taken is not destructive but constructive."
After the results of the election, in which he was the sole candidate, were finalized, Özel, who was re-elected as CHP Chairman by receiving all 1333 valid votes, returned to the stage for his thank-you speech.

I am glad to be doing politics with you. I am glad that my party is a party of such beautiful people. I embrace you all."
