CHP Chairman Özgür Özel shares post with the note 'There is no turning back from this path': He gave the President message

In a post on his social media account, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated, "There is no turning back from this path! We will not stop until we take Mayor Ekrem, and make him the guarantor of democracy, justice, and brotherhood, and the President of the Republic of Turkey!"

The CHP will hold an extraordinary convention on Sunday, April 6, against the possibility of a trustee being appointed to the party.

Days before the convention, Antalya Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal also announced that he is a candidate for the chairmanship.

It was also announced that a rally will be held in front of the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara's Yenimahalle district, where the convention will take place.

In a post on his social media account, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated, "There is no turning back from this path! We will not stop until we take Mayor Ekrem, and make him the guarantor of democracy, justice, and brotherhood, and the President of the Republic of Turkey!"

In a previous statement regarding the extraordinary convention to be held on April 6, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had said, "We are waiting for our members from 81 provinces, our citizens, everyone who wants to show solidarity with the CHP during this process, especially the youth, and everyone who meets with us in democracy, in front of the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center."
