CHP corridors buzzing: Date set for Özgür Özel's new party!
As discussions about a new era in the CHP continue following the absolute nullity decision, all eyes have turned to the steps Özgür Özel will take. Journalist Aytunç Erkin reported that, according to behind-the-scenes talk, Özel and his team are waiting for the decision to be issued by the Court of Cassation before the judicial recess, and that a new political formation via the Anadolu Birliği Partisi, for which preparations have been completed, could come to the agenda in August.

While Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his team, who were brought to the CHP Chairmanship with an absolute nullity decision, have closed their doors to calls for an extraordinary convention, all eyes have turned to the potential new party move by the CHP's elected Chairman, Özgür Özel.
Journalist Aytunç Erkin shared information he obtained from behind-the-scenes sources regarding the matter.
Speaking on Tv100, Erkin stated, “Mr. Özgür Özel and his team are waiting for the decision to come out of the Court of Cassation, especially in the process before the judicial recess begins on July 20.”
Erkin continued his remarks as follows:
“There is the Anadolu Birliği Partisi, for which preparations have already been made. I think we will see the new party process as of August. That is what is being discussed as well.
When I went to Silivri last week, a name very close to Özgür Özel said, 'There is no turning back from this now; this will be clarified by the beginning of August and you will see.' ”
