Forest fires are continuing in numerous provinces across the country. In addition to official teams, citizens have also joined the firefighting efforts. However, the inadequacy of aerial intervention, combined with the effect of the wind, is causing the flames to spread rapidly.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir reacted to the government over the ongoing forest fires.

Emphasizing that the response to the fires has been insufficient, Emir drew attention to the AKP government's luxury official expenditures in a post on his X account, stating the following:

"Antalya, Karabük, Bursa, Kocaeli, Uşak, Diyarbakır, Kahramanmaraş and many more regions are burning! The public is fighting the flames with canisters in their hands, and firefighting teams are battling with their bodies, unprotected and without equipment. Because the AKP government chose executive jets and luxury vehicles, not fighting fires! You said, 'We are good at fighting fires,' yet you sold the THK planes and left the equipment lacking! Just last week, 11 forest workers lost their lives, and firefighting vehicles were reduced to ashes; have you still not learned a lesson? How can your conscience remain silent in the face of this nation's desperation? Do you not love this homeland, this nation at all?"
