While CHP mayors continue to be detained on various charges, Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, who is currently in custody, provided testimony under the scope of 'effective remorse' and made accusations against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

Following these claims by Yalım, the following denial text was published by the CHP İletişim account:

The claims made by Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım in his testimony under 'effective remorse'—that the children of Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep delegates were hired by municipalities in exchange for voting for our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel during the 38th Grand Assembly process—are completely untrue, baseless, and a clear slander.

• Hülya D., who is alleged to be a Kahramanmaraş delegate, holds party membership in another province.

• As for the other person, let alone being a delegate, they do not even have any membership in our party.

• None of the children of our current assembly delegates have started working in municipalities.

The claims regarding our Gaziantep delegates are similarly inconsistent with the truth:

• None of the children or first- or second-degree relatives of our delegate Cennet Şervan work in any municipality.

• The child of our delegate Zehra Eltan was only 5 years old at the time in question.

• Our delegate Elif Berfin Aksu has no children.

• Fatma Müge Düşün did not even cast a vote at the assembly because she was abroad on the relevant dates.

The purpose of such baseless claims, put forward to produce material for political operations, is to make the will of the assembly controversial and to create a perception in the public eye. However, when the names, dates, and concrete information are examined, the picture that emerges is clear: There is neither a hiring relationship as alleged nor any benefit in exchange for votes. All necessary legal processes will be meticulously carried out against these attempts that target our party and our delegates with untrue statements, and the public will continue to be informed.
