Located in the Altıntaş district of Kütahya and holding international airport status, Zafer Airport continues to drain the pockets of citizens since its establishment.
Costing 50 million euros and operating under a 'guaranteed payment' system since its inception, the airport set a new loss record in the first 4 months of 2024.
While government officials are trying to find a solution to inflation by limiting minimum wage increases to once a year, they are simultaneously incurring losses through structures with guaranteed payments.
CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Zonguldak MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz brought the resulting losses to light with a post on his social media account, supported by documents.
