CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Tanal has begun a sit-in protest in front of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources that will last until morning, in order to protest power outages.

Mahmut Tanal announced his protest on his X account with the following words:

"I have begun a sit-in protest in front of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Ankara until morning to protest the power outages that have turned into persecution in Şanlıurfa and Mardin, and to call on the 'sleeping' government officials to produce solutions.

The people of Şanlıurfa and Mardin are in the dark. What are you doing, oh those in power?"
