CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz shared on his social media account that he has obtained testimony records regarding the disaster at the mine in Erzincan's İliç district, where 9 workers remain trapped under the rubble.
CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who traveled to the site of the incident following the mining disaster in İliç and has brought to light those responsible for the catastrophe through his documented posts, has made another striking disclosure.
Stating, "We have obtained the testimony records regarding the disaster at the gold mine operated by Anagold in Erzincan's İliç," Yavuzyılmaz also highlighted key points from the testimonies and exposed inconsistencies in official statements.
Here is the post shared by Yavuzyılmaz:
Cracks were detected on the morning of the incident. Despite this, blasting was carried out between 12:00 and 12:15!
The step heights, which should have been 8 meters in the heap leach area, were exceeded!
There is a suspicion of error in the design of the heap leach area!
The first slide occurred at the 33rd step!
However, according to Anagold's official website, each phase of the heap leach area should have consisted of 8 steps, each 8 meters high.
Calculated accordingly, there should have been a maximum of 32 steps across 4 phases.
However, the testimonies indicate that the project company authorized up to 36 steps.
If the Ministries of Environment, Energy, and Labor did not inspect this state of the site and approved this design change that created production pressure,
This is murder!
