Correction from CHP's Emir regarding 'We agreed on the right to hope' statement: We have not reached full consensus on any issue

MHP's Feti Yıldız, regarding the jointly prepared solution process commission report, stated, "We have agreed on the right to hope, there is no problem, it will be in the report. There is no serious disagreement between us," indicating that there is no significant difference of opinion among the political parties in the commission. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, who emerged from the same meeting, said in a statement made alongside Yıldız, "Even if there is no full consensus, we will reach that consensus." Adding a caveat to Yıldız's statement, Emir expressed, "I insistently state that we have not reached full consensus on any issue, that we are discussing every topic, and that the parties are moving closer to each other, but there is no consensus yet."

The drafting team, consisting of coordinators from the parties with groups in the commission, met today for the joint report of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission. 

In a statement made on the TBMM's social media account after the meeting, it was stated that the final form of the report would be given, voted on, and submitted to the Parliament at the commission meeting planned for the coming days.

At the end of the meeting, MHP Deputy Chairman Yıldız and CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir also spoke to members of the press.

MHP's Yıldız said, "We have agreed on the right to hope. There is no problem. The ECHR decisions already mention the right to hope. Our report will already recommend compliance with ECHR decisions. The right to hope is included in that as well."

Furthermore, Yıldız stated, "There is no serious disagreement between us. Everyone is a separate party, of course, political parties. Ultimately, demands, requests, expectations, and hopes are different. But for the future of this country, for the future of our children, for our unity and integrity, we are agreeing on certain things."

FULL CONSENSUS CORRECTION FROM CHP'S EMIR

CHP's Emir said, "Even if there is no full consensus, we will reach that consensus. It is not possible for us to express an opinion on any concrete issue. As a whole, we are discussing everything on the commission's agenda, and we are in harmony."

Emir later stated in a post on his X account, "As seen in the footage, I insistently state that we have not reached full consensus on any issue, that we are discussing every topic, and that the parties are moving closer to each other, but there is no consensus."
