CHP's Emir criticizes Foreign Ministry's 'tourist visa request': By what right, with what logic?

The US announced that it rejected the visa application of AKP member Mehmet Metiner, despite a letter from the Foreign Ministry. Following this, a debate began on social media regarding the tone of the Foreign Ministry's letter and the fact that it sent a letter for a visa application for former MP Metiner.

Metiner announced the rejection decision in a post on X.

Stating that he applied for a visa at the US Embassy at 08:15 today, Metiner said he also brought the letter provided by the Foreign Ministry with him. Expressing that he waited for about 45 minutes and that those who arrived later had their transactions completed before him, Metiner stated that his request was rejected.

Metiner included the following statements: "I conveyed this situation to the relevant general manager of our Foreign Ministry. I learned with regret that we do not do the same to Americans. There is no reciprocity in this regard."

Continuing, "I hope our Foreign Ministry does what is necessary in this regard. It is not unknown why the US gave a negative response to my visa request," Metiner concluded his post with the words, "The reason is opposing US and Israeli policies. Expressing this loudly in the media. That's how much they understand freedom! Honestly, I guessed they wouldn't give a visa. I wasn't wrong. Despite this, I applied to test it. There is good in what happens."

After this post by Metiner, things got messy and reactions came one after another. Immediately after, AKP member Metiner deleted his post.

HARSH CRITICISM FROM CHP'S MURAT EMİR

Regarding the Foreign Ministry stepping in for a former MP and writing a letter to the US Embassy, the following reaction came from CHP's Emir:

"While we were saying that Tom Barrack, who tries to tailor a monarchy suit for Turkey and thinks of himself as a colonial governor, should be declared 'persona non grata'; look at the state the Foreign Ministry has been reduced to!

One dimension of the scandal is the Foreign Ministry stepping in for a former MP's personal tourist visa and writing an official letter like an intercessor!

By what right, with what logic?

But the most dire, most humiliating aspect of the picture is that the state's ministry writes a letter to the place where this man is the ambassador, and the answer received is a big 'NO!'

You are dragging the reputation of a great state through the mud, bowing and scraping for a personal tourist visa, and on top of that, you are left at the door! Moreover, when the disgrace is revealed, they call to say 'Delete the text.'

We are not saying 'The AKP has surrendered to Trump's policies' for nothing.
