CHP's Emir reveals AKP-run Elazığ Municipality's Aktaş tenders: 'Report is being held back'

Murat Emir announced that the report identified a total of 808 million TL worth of work carried out across 8 tenders between the municipality and firms linked to Aziz İhsan Aktaş.

In a statement on his social media account, Emir used the following expressions:

"Let's talk about the report prepared for the Elazığ Municipality by the Chief Controllers of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance today. What does the report say? A total of 808 million TL worth of work was carried out in 8 tenders linked to Aziz İhsan Aktaş.

In the driverless vehicle rental tender numbered 2024/583119 alone, work worth 539 million 915 thousand 220 TL was carried out for 36 months. The number of valid bids in the tender for the work is 2, written as two. The approximate cost calculation, market research, and competition conditions are in violation of Law No. 4734.

The report containing these findings was submitted to the prosecutor's office on July 7, 2025. Which prosecutor's office? The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which spends its time obsessing over CHP-run municipalities and has been found to engage in work that generates additional income. What has the prosecutor's office done? It hasn't taken a single step. Final question: Which party holds the Elazığ Municipality? Naturally, the AKP.

The result? Well, then let's slowly shelve the file. When it's the CHP, suspicion is enough, and if there is no suspicion, the statement of a slanderer is also enough. But when it's the AKP, even an expert report cannot prevent the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office from burying its head in the sand.
