CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir clarifies the crowd around Aziz İhsan Aktaş: They are company employees, not bodyguards

The fact that Aziz İhsan Aktaş arrived with a large security detail at the first hearing of the case filed against 200 defendants, 33 of whom are in custody, on charges of leading a "criminal organization for profit" and organizing tenders by bribing certain mayors, had sparked controversy.

CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir stated that the individuals accompanying Aziz İhsan Aktaş, excluding two official police officers, were employees of companies that had been placed under trusteeship.

"A human wall was built in front of the career slanderer"

Reminding that elected mayors were being tried while in custody during the Silivri trials, Emir said, "A human wall was practically built in front of the career slanderer they call a criminal organization leader. Who built this human wall? It includes two protection police officers, his brother, his son, and three company employees.

However, these three company employees are employees of companies that have been transferred to the TMSF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund) and are managed by a trustee. On one hand, the state seizes these companies, saying 'you are a criminal organization leader, these are assets subject to crime,' but through these companies, over 300 million liras in fake invoices are still being issued, and that money is being put back into Aziz İhsan Aktaş's pocket.

They don't stop there. They send personnel from there and have a human wall built in front of Aziz İhsan Aktaş," he said.

Pointing out that the reason the other two protection police officers were assigned was the allegation that Fatih Keleş would have Aziz İhsan Aktaş killed, Emir said, "Yet, based on this allegation, Aziz İhsan Aktaş is given two police bodyguards, but the file is so flimsy that they don't even take Fatih Keleş's statement," he said.
