The AKP's anti-IMM posters are being removed. Reports that the posters were removed following the CHP's criminal complaint had been denied by the AKP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, which labeled them as "disinformation."

The removed poster featured the phrases, "They said borrowing is treason, they increased the IMM's debt to 350 billion Turkish Liras. From your life."

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FROM CHP

It had been claimed that the billboards were removed by a decision taken by the intermediary company. The AKP Istanbul Provincial Presidency had denied the claims in question. The CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency had also filed a criminal complaint regarding the campaign.

AKP PROVINCIAL CHAIR HAD CALLED IT "DISINFORMATION"

AKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Abdullah Özdemir had used the following expressions in a post on his social media account regarding the reports that the anti-IMM posters were being removed:

“The 'they are being removed' claims put forward regarding our 'IT IS COMING FROM YOUR LIFE' media campaign are completely disinformation. Our billboard work in different districts across Istanbul is continuing as planned. As of today, our visuals have also started to appear in new advertising spaces. The perception created by those who are uncomfortable with the facts does not change the picture on the ground. We will continue to tell the story of Istanbul's lost time, wasted money, and stolen life. 'You can tape over the cameras, but you cannot put a blindfold on the people of Istanbul.'”
