As the March 31 Local Elections are left behind, political parties continue to object to the results.
While the objection process is ongoing, the Republican People's Party (CHP) applied to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) for the cancellation of the Hatay Provincial Election Board's decision to grant the certificate of election to the AKP candidate Mehmet Öntürk. The YSK will meet today at 14:00 to discuss the objections.
YSK Chairman Ahmet Yener answered questions from journalists as he arrived at the institution.
Yener responded to the question "Will the CHP's Hatay application be concluded today?" by saying "Let's see, let's start the meeting, we will give you information at the end of the day."
Speaking after journalists persistently asked about the CHP's application in Hatay, Yener said, "I received an award from the Association of World Election Bodies. Let's talk about that for a bit," and entered the YSK building.
