CHP High Disciplinary Board issues reprimand to Tanju Özcan

The CHP YDK met at the party headquarters.

While the meeting addressed internal party disciplinary files, the file of Tanju Özcan, who was referred to the disciplinary board due to his remarks regarding former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, was also discussed.

The board, having reviewed his oral or written defense, unanimously issued a reprimand to Özcan due to his social media post about Kılıçdaroğlu on July 11.

FIRST COMMENT FROM TANJU ÖZCAN

Tanju Özcan, who was issued the reprimand, made a striking observation in a post on his social media account. Here is that comment from Tanju Özcan:

The CHP High Disciplinary Board has issued a reprimand against me today. I respect the decision, but I am facing an interesting situation. With this decision, I have gone down in world history.

Why, you ask? I have now received every penalty a party member can receive (Warning, Reprimand, Temporary Expulsion, and Permanent Expulsion). I think with this performance, I have earned the right to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
