Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi carried out his first official program in his new role.
Starting his remarks by thanking Ali Yerlikaya, from whom he took over the office, Minister Çiftçi made assessments regarding the agenda during his speech at the Governors' Meeting Program.

Highlights from Çiftçi's statements are as follows:
“Turkey is our common homeland. I believe that each of us is bound to this homeland with love. In particular, the regrettable incidents caused by the main opposition party deputies during the oath-taking ceremony did not befit the dignity of our Veteran Parliament, which is the manifestation of our national will. A common-sense stance that reinforces the brotherhood of our nation will be our measure and principle. Our deputies have also stated after the event that they do not approve of what was done.
MESSAGE ON THE RESOLUTION PROCESS
With the process of a Turkey without terrorism, we hope to free our country from the shackles on its feet forever.
With the resolute leadership of our President and the strong support of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, we are at an important stage in the process that has reached today. As the Ministry of Interior, we will act in close coordination with our other institutions to ensure that the work carried out reaches its goal, we will do what is required of us, and we will implement the requirements of the rule of law under all circumstances. We will not allow those who attempt to sabotage the process and those who target the brotherhood of the nation.
FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS AND ILLEGAL BETTING
The fight against drugs is one of the most fundamental conditions for securing our future. We will carry out a stronger and more determined fight in this area. The same will applies to the fight against public order crimes and organized crime organizations. Our stance against gambling and illegal betting is also clear. We will not give passage to those who cast an eye on the sweat of our nation.”
