CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik has called on all legal professionals to be present at the Çağlayan Courthouse at 19:30 to 'defend democracy.' Çelik emphasized that the call was made to stand up for both Ekrem İmamoğlu and the 'rights of the nation.'
Inviting legal professionals to stand on the side of 'true justice,' Çelik stated the following:
''This is my call to the honorable legal professionals of our nation! We invite all honorable legal professionals who stand on the side of law and true justice to the Çağlayan Courthouse at the time of the statement, wearing their robes, to defend the rights of our nation, our Mayor Ekrem, and democracy. This struggle belongs to us all!''
