CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik made a statement on his social media account regarding the election results in Bahçelievler and Gaziosmanpaşa.

Çelik announced that the AKP's objection to the municipal council membership election in Bahçelievler, where the CHP emerged ahead, was accepted, while the CHP's objection to the mayoral election was rejected.

Describing this situation as a "double standard," Çelik also drew attention to the fact that a recount decision was made in Gaziosmanpaşa while objections in Ümraniye and Fatih were rejected.

Çelik also announced that the CHP gained 1 vote in the 5 ballot boxes recounted for the municipal council membership election in Bahçelievler.

Özgür Çelik's statements are as follows:

"In Bahçelievler, the election board accepted the rival political party's objection to the municipal council membership election where we were ahead, but rejected our objection to the mayoral election. This is called a double standard! Just like the decision to recount in Gaziosmanpaşa while our objections in Ümraniye and Fatih were rejected!

In the 5 ballot boxes recounted for the municipal council membership in Bahçelievler, +1 vote was added to our tally."
