CHP leader Özgür Özel to visit Palestine

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is preparing to carry out his previously announced trip to Palestine later this month.

After announcing his visit to Palestine, the CHP leader had called on all political parties and stated that the necessary diplomatic initiatives were ongoing.

According to a report by Altan Sancar from Politikyol, while the visit is planned to take place this month, it was noted that initiatives regarding Gaza have not yet yielded results. However, it was stated that Özel plans to travel to the West Bank to hold a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Meanwhile, the candidate selection process for the local elections continues within the CHP. However, it was reported that the CHP Central Executive Committee (MYK) and the Party Assembly will not meet this week. The meetings are expected to be held next week, with the goal of completing the comprehensive candidate selection process.
